During public comment at the March 4th GPS board
meeting a member of the public stated: “I could go across the freeway and live
in Mesa and have my property taxes cut in half”.
I have provided the 2013 property taxes for both Gilbert and
Mesa below from the Maricopa.gov site.
As you can see, property tax rates are nearly identical.
